Course Outline

The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113) will teach you many facets of how to educate and care for babies, toddlers and children. You will learn how to ensure children’s health and safety, including promoting healthy eating, work effectively using learning and ethical frameworks, and support the physical and emotional wellbeing of children. Additionally, you will learn how to provide experiences of play and learning to support children’s development among a range of other excellent child caring and work-based skills.

*101Ed does not provide this unit. You will need to provide a current Education and Care First Aid Certificate to satisfy competency for this unit. All Units of Competency are subject to a practical assessment which can be completed during your work placement at a registered Childcare facility.

Work placement

A minimum of 120 hours of work placement in a regulated education and care service. Work placement, forms an integral part of both the learning and assessment for the qualification. Placement must be completed during the duration of the CHCECE30113 qualification. Students are encouraged to commence their placement as soon as they enrol.

All units have a practical component which will be completed in the work place except for CHCDIV002 Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety which can be completed online.
